The problem
Working with government agencies is a project inside a project. The contract decides everything: deadlines, payments, notices, what counts as additional work and what it takes to close the contract. Mistakes are rarely loud. They hide in a missed notice, a late valuation or a missing document, and they surface months later as a dispute or a penalty.
Contract AI Agent is software I am building with AlejoCorp, a construction group that works with government agencies, to manage the whole life of a public works contract in one place: from the selection process, through execution, to final settlement and closeout.
At its center is an AI agent that is being trained on contract management practice and on how these contracts are really run. Its job is to read the contract, warn about errors and risks before they cost money, and act as your guide, so you always know the next step.
One contract, three stages
From selection to settlement.
1. Selection
Read the bidding documents and terms of reference, check requirements, guarantees and deadlines, and prepare a proposal without missing a step.
2. Execution
Track milestones, valuations and payments, notices, change orders and additional work, with reminders that arrive in time and a clean record of every decision.
3. Settlement
Prepare final measurements, delivery and acceptance, the final settlement (liquidation) and the closeout file, with every document in order.
The AI agent, at every stage
Flags inconsistencies and missing items, explains clauses in plain language, reminds you of notices and deadlines, and suggests the next action.
